Nico Lightbody
Nico is the founder of Peak Endurance and is located in Victoria, BC. His athletic career started as a competitive swimmer while in High School competing against Canada's best at Age Group Nationals. He enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces in 2010 and continued swimming while completing his undergrad in Aeronautical Engineering at the Royal Military College of Canada (RMCC). In 2011 he represented Canada at the Military World Games in Rio, Brazil. In 2012 while still at RMCC he became the head coach of the swim team for 2 years until being posted to Halifax for training.

In 2020 Nico left the Military to pursue a career as a Professional Ironman Triathlete and start his coaching business. Unfortunately a month after Nico was released from the military, COVID ravaged the world. When all races were cancelled, Nico found solace completing adventures in the trails which sparked an interest for trail running. Since the return of races Nico has followed this new found passion and has decided to focus his athletic prowess into trail running, particularly the ultra distances. Applying the similar endurance training principles as triathlon to trail running Nico has been successful in this short period Nico having won multiple trail races. He is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, helping others improve and pushing the limits of what you believe is possible. Nico believes that you can achieve anything that you put your mind towards!
